I ordered a corsage and boutonnière a week ahead of prom. I am disabled but went to the store to order so I could go over exactly what we wanted. The lady who helped us was really nice and friendly. She went above and beyond! I had picture of a corsage from their website and I specified that I really wanted the roses around the ribbon. Their other corsages were all just clusters of flowers with ribbon on the side. I wrote down “white roses with baby’s breath instead of red berries, around blue ribbon”. I sent them the picture so they could reference it later.
I went to pick up the flowers today and I was disappointed to see that the roses were clustered with the ribbon the side which is exactly what I DIDN’T want (but I had a gut feeling was going to happen). I had gone to great lengths to ensure that I didn’t get this layout. I guess it’s the only corsage arrangement they can do. The same lady who took the order apologized profusely, but it wasn’t her fault. She was really sweet and I felt bad because she had done everything right on her end. An older lady didn’t say much, wasn’t overly friendly, but she did give me a partial refund.
At the end of the day, the corsage is pretty and she will like it, it’s just sad that we didn’t get the product my son had picked out for his girlfriend, and we had paid for. I had done as much as humanly possible to ensure we got the right one. If they had said they couldn’t do it we would have gone somewhere else. Again, the layout we wanted was on THEIR website.
I will give them a second chance. The boutonniere came out really nice and the roses were all fresh. If I had wanted this layout of flowers they did a really good job of it.
Picture of red flowers is what I ordered, white roses are what I got (the rose color and ribbon color are what I asked for).
